What is the difference between a new Compound and a new Class?

  1. A new compound rule can only be used once by hitting the New CSS Rule button while selecting a div or element. It assigns characteristics to elements that you desire.

    A class rule can be applied an infinite amount of times using the page properties panel. It assigns preset characteristics to certain selected elements.

    Compound only applies to one thing while a class can be applied to anything

  4. A new compound rule is only applied once, and only to the part you have selected. A new class rule can be applied an infinite number of times, and to any part with the same class as it.

  5. For a Compound Rule, it only applies to the object you are editing. For a Class Rule, it is a reusable rule, that can manually be applied to anything if you choose it to.
