  1. I learned how to make two different things the exact same color. Ex: The words and the shade colors are the same exact colors, in my Express Yourself projects.

  2. I learned how to use the magic wand tool this week and it is a very helpful tool. It selects an area that I would like to make transparent and "deletes it". I have used this tool many times to construct my image and is very helpful.

  5. One new feature I learned in Photoshop this week was the fill feature. This is used to fill text into a certain color(s). This is very useful to have text running through a image or part of an image.

  7. I learned how to work with the rectangle tool. I learned how to fill in a box with a specific color. I learned that I had to use the eyedropper tool to select a specific color, then I was able to fill in a rectangle with that color.

  8. I learned how to work with the rectangle tool which is used to make a rectangle that can be filled in with any color or matched with any color that is chosen with the eye dropper tool. I used this tool to make the different values with the words contained in them for the express yourself project.

  12. This week, I learned how to use the crop tool to select the part of the picture that you want to show. We used it in our project to crop ourselves out from the larger background into a condensed section.

  13. This week I learned how to work with the text tool in Photoshop. I discovered that there are many different fonts and styles users can write with, and how to change the size of the text. I also learned how to make the text a pattern, so it can be used to fill surfaces in the image.

  28. This week, I learned how to use the eyedropper tool in Photoshop. I used the tool to take the color of another component of a picture and drop that color into another selected area so that the colors are completely matched.

  29. This week I learned how to define patterns. A part of an image can be put, or defined, as a pattern which allows you to use it as a fill, or to replace a color or colors.

  30. This week, I learned how to use the text tool in Photoshop. The text tool allows you to type in words into a selected area. In the express yourself project I used the text tool to type in my words and quotes to add to the image. It's helpful, creative and easy to use.

  35. I learned how to use the select tools/magic wand tool. This is a key tool for Photoshop because you are able to crop anything out of a picture, and place it elsewhere or manipulate the image.

  36. This week I was taught about filters by my father. He showed me how to experiment with the various filters in order to manipulate the colors of selected pixels to make images more appealing/interesting.
